Yes. The MSR supports all magnetic card formats including credit, debit, loyalty, and proprietary private label cards. Its triple track head captures every swipe pattern without manual card type selection.
Which connection should we use: USB or Serial?
Use USB for modern Essae terminals and Serial for legacy systems. Both options ship with OPOS drivers pre-installed, enabling plug and play functionality.
What happens if a card swipe fails on the MSR?
Failures are rare thanks to the triple track design. If a swipe misses, the reader re initiates instantly, ensuring most transactions succeed on the first attempt.
