Specialty Coffee Bars
Long modifier lists, pour-overs and retail beans on the side. A larger-screen POS machine for cafe menus this long keeps every option one tap away, and a scale handles beans sold by weight.
Made in India POS system for cafe and coffee bar counters. Runs your GST billing software, prints bills and KOTs, and fits a crowded counter.
A billing machine for cafe use, also called a point of sale machine for cafe counters, is a touch POS terminal that prints the customer bill, sends KOTs to the barista and opens the cash drawer from one counter unit. At most cafes the bottleneck isn't the espresso machine, it's the counter, where one person takes the order, adds the oat-milk swap and extra shot, and bills it while the next customer waits. Essae builds that hardware in India as part of our wider restaurant billing machine range for F&B.
Intel 12th-gen options keep a point of sale system for cafe menus responsive through size, milk, sugar-level and hot-or-iced edits, even when the queue reaches the door.
The POS with printer prints the customer bill from the unit you bill on, so the space you save goes back to the pastry case.
LAN and USB ports send KOTs from your billing software to a thermal receipt printer at the barista station. See how it fits a restaurant KOT workflow.
No fan pulling grinder dust and espresso steam into the board, and a metal body that takes knocks from trays and milk jugs.
A touch screen billing machine that responds to a quick tap during the rush and wipes clean of milk and syrup with a damp cloth between orders.
USB, RS-232, LAN, cash-drawer and customer-display ports connect the full set of POS peripherals a point of sale machine for cafe counters needs: receipt printer, KOT printer, cash drawer and customer display.
Essae-Teraoka, an Indo-Japanese JV, builds every terminal in Bengaluru and Hosur. BIS certified, ISO 9001:2015, DSIR-recognised R&D and an IGBC Green Factory.
Pan-India service means support and spares are handled locally, not routed through an overseas importer when something fails mid-rush.
Coffee and tea chains can standardise one POS system for cafe outlets in every city, with OPOS/JPOS/SDK support so the same billing software runs everywhere.
Most cafes run order-and-pay counters. Each drink carries modifiers that change the price, and every order sends a bill to the customer and a KOT to the barista. A billing system for cafe counters has to stay quick from the 8:45 am rush to evening group orders.

High volume, low ticket size and repeat orders. Speed per bill matters most, and identical cafe POS systems across outlets keep training simple.
Drinks and snacks on one bill. A barcode scanner handles packaged cookies and bottled drinks, while KOTs go to the kitchen for hot food.

Yes, if it's built for a cafe or coffee shop counter. The espresso machine throws off heat and steam, grinders leave fine dust, and by noon there's milk and syrup on every surface. The hardware behind a billing system for cafe counters needs a fanless board, a wipe-clean PCAP screen and a metal body, which is how Essae terminals are built. The same point of sale machine range also runs hotel and resort F&B counters.
Plan a rollout
For most single-counter cafes, the POS-956C/N is the best starting point because its built-in 80mm thermal printer saves counter space and cabling. Very small kiosks can begin with the entry-level POS-516C/N, and a busier café with a long menu will find the POS-916C/N's 15.6" widescreen easier to navigate. Compare every model in our point of sale machine range to match screen size and ports to your counter.
Yes, when your billing software supports it. The customer bill prints on the counter printer, built into the POS-956, and the software sends the KOT to a separate barista or kitchen printer over LAN or USB. Essae supplies the hardware; the KOT logic lives in your software.
Most likely, yes. Essae makes hardware, not billing software, and every Essae POS machine runs the GST-ready billing software coffee shops and cafes already use. OPOS/JPOS/SDK support lets that software drive printers, cash drawers and displays. Share your software name and we'll confirm compatibility before you order.
Yes. GST invoices are generated by your billing software and printed on the terminal's thermal printer or a connected receipt printer. Essae hardware is compatible with GST-ready billing software, so the invoice format, HSN/SAC codes and tax split come from the application you already use.
Usually yes. Most Indian cafes still take some cash, especially for small orders and tips. A POS cash drawer on the terminal's drawer port opens only when a cash sale is recorded, keeping the day's cash matched to the bill. UPI acceptance itself is handled by your billing software or payment provider.
We're happy to answer your questions and help you determine which Essae POS configuration best fits your counters.
